Take a video tour of the submarine. This video is 25 minutes long. I made a couple of errors in my narration. The head in the forward torpedo room is the Officer's head, and there were 126 batteries in each of the battery compartments, fore and aft. These batteries have been removed and the battery wells filled with ballast materials because of dangerous gases and acids associated with the batteries. |
