Gonset GSB-101 Amplifier

Here is a new addition to the shack, a Gonset GSB-101 linear amplifier for 80 thru 10 meters.

800-watts output using four-811's.  The thing is huge and weighs a ton, (like all good boat anchors)!

I need to do a mod to it in order to use it with modern tranceivers because there is no internal T/R switch.

The previous owner did a re-cap job on it a couple years ago.

Here is a front view of the amp.  It is in nice condition.

Another view of the from of the amp.

The model number on the front.  I also have the diamond shaped GONSET tag that was mounted below.

The rear side of the amp.  Everything looks real nice and clean.

A close-up of the serial number tag.  Number A-1093.

A view of the amp sitting on my desk.  The amp drawfs the Kenwood TS-870 sitting next to it.  I am going to build a separate stand for it to sit on.

The amp specifications taken from the user manual.
