This is a "Hamstick" style portable dipole made from two Pro-Ham 40-meter "Hamstick" type antennas and a commercially made dipole bracket. The antennas and bracket were bought at the 2006 Dayton Hamvention. The Pro-Ham antennas were $8.00 a piece and the dipole bracket/mount was $9.95 for a total investment of $26.00 ! Shown here on just 10-feet of mast, I have a total of 30-feet of mast available this portable/emergency dipole. The antenna will not be operated from the set up shown. This was just to give me an idea as to how big the antenna would be and how it would all go together on the mast. |

The 1-1/4" mast was too large for the dipole bracket so the dipole bracket was mounted to a short piece of galvanized conduit and U-bolted to the mast. |
