Version 2.01 - July 2007
|
The VIT Voice Keyer is a simple soundcard based voice keyer. What does a voice keyer do? It will play various recordings and output them to your radio and key the PTT line. The recordings can be a CQ call, a CONTEST call, a MY RIG and QTH and any other transmission you may make over and over. Why sit and call CQ all day while your voice gets hoarse? Record a CQ call and then just click a button everytime you want to send a CQ. The VIT Voice Keyer also incorporates a nine-minute ID timer to alert you that it is time to ID. This program was started after spending a Field Day weekend a few years ago manning the phone station and wishing I had something that would do what the VIT Voice Keyer now does. UPDATED JULY 2007 - A setting has been added to keep the VIT Voice Keyer on top of all other windows which is not shown in the images below. |

Main Screen of the VIT Voice Keyer. Click the HELP menu for details of operation.

Settings Screen - Sets the COM port to use for rig control.

Right Click on a message button to set it to a new or different WAV file.

Double Click the nine-minute timer panel to start the timer.
Double Click it again to stop it. When the timer counts down to zero it will beep to
alert you and display the message 'Time to ID.'
